Reliability
Dongbu PEB is designed and produced using the advanced technology of Dongbu Steel. Dongbu Steel has implemented the VP Command Program, which was developed by VarcoPruden, considered the world¡¯s best PEB system maker. VP Command is a computerized system that controls the whole process from construction planning to actual construction. PEB is a built-up product made of high strength steel sheet. The quality of PEB depends primarily on how to minimize heat-induced deformation. In order to minimize deformation and/or damage to our material, Dongbu Steel uses an underwater Plasma Cutting Machine, making it the first Korean steelmaker to do so. 

 

Economic efficiency
Computerized calculation ensures accuracy, eliminating unnecessary materials. By using a high-strength light-weight steel structure, PEB saves up to 30% of the construction cost.   

 

 

Reduction of construction period

Standard Purlin

Z-PURLIN
The use of Z-PURLIN enables for the installation of continuous beam. Slant roofs pose another structural advantage by lending support to the strong axis, which reduces the use of supplementary material. PEB's are also easy to transport since piling the product is possible.

Tapered beam used as supplementary material.
In order to maximize the mechanical efficiency, loss of materials is kept to a minimum by producing a tapered beam at necessary portions depending on the stress factor of the structure.
In order to render lightweight properties to the upper structure, PEB uses steel 1.3 times higher in tensile strength (fy=3.3t/§²) compared to ordinary steel.

CANOPY Installation.
Installation of canopies is automatically supported up to 10 meters of the side wall. Parapets which cover the roof, monitors, advertisement towers, and ventilators are also installed.

Using D. Rod Brace.
P.E.B System installs rod brace instead of Angle that is used in conventional structure, so it can be available for economic construction.

Crane Installation.
Depending on the crane capacity, a variety of designs including bracket type, hammer type, separate type, and lattice type are available to the customer.

 Construction method

RF (Rigid Frame)

A clear span of up to 90m can be secured by using the RF engineering method.

With its excellent ability to handle cranes and process additional weight, it is an efficient engineering method used for factories, gymnasiums, aviation sheds and warehouses.

 

CB (Continuous Beam)

Adjustments can be made on the column width depending on the use. Unlike the continuous gable structure, the gutters are located only at both sides, preventing leakage and/or condensation. The CB offers a maximum of 240m in internal space, and is suitable for large sized-construction such as warehouses, commercial buildings and shopping centers.

 

Lean To (LT)

This method is suitable for the construction of annex buildings that are connected to existing structures. Connections can be made either at the end wall or the side wall and the height can be adjusted freely. Narrow construction sites or complicated floor plans, in particular, are perfect candidates for the LT method to accomplish efficient land use.

 

Open web frame (OWF)

The OWF method offers up to 20 meters of clear space, connecting a 240 meter span using interior columns. Facilities required inside the structure are installed on the open web, presenting an attractive appearance. Unlike conventional design method, designs employing continuous Purlin will reduce the steel weight, adding economic efficiency to its features.

 

One or two story buildings

Particalor full second floor can be added on top of a pre-engineered building for various purposes

 

Crane installation

Cranes are essential to the functioning of warehouses and works, where heavyweight materials must be moved around all the time. By using brackets, Dongbu PEBs can be engineered to handle 15-Ton cranes easily. Cranes like Coil Center with a capacity of 30T or greater can also be installed by putting in separate, independent columns to support them.
